New, beautiful work from End of Work for Bib & Tucker, new restaurant in Western Australia:
Bib & Tucker is a restaurant and bar on Leighton Beach in Fremantle, Western Australia and is the latest venture by Australian Olympic swimmer Eamon Sulivan. End of Work invented a back-story around two dandified bandits, Bib and Tucker, from mid-1800’s Fremantle, an early Australian version of Bonnie and Clyde. The story goes that they would have been just as likely to compliment you on your exquisite taste in shoes as to relieve you of your wallet. This theme of ‘elegant rascality’ set the tone for the project and working with Romie Alwill and Wil Dangar we utilised a stripped-back colour palette and tactile, rustic materials to build a brand with grit and authenticity and a tiny splash of elegance.
Richler is a beautiful new serif family from Shinntype. Described as “an open, evenly spaced book face designed for quality headlines and enhanced readability in text, the typeface includes two weights plus italics, a highlight font and various OpenType features. Pick up a copy at MyFonts.
Timothy Goodman recently completed a really fun project for The New Yorker’s Fiction Issue, entitled “Crimes and Misdemeanours.” He created six Noir fiction themed title cards to represent each fiction piece in the issue. A video trailer was also created featuring Timothy’s work. Be sure to scroll down and check it out.
