Tavis Coburn takes on BAFTA

I’ve been a huge Tavis Coburn fan for awhile, but it has been quite some time since I’ve seen any of his recent work. So I was psyched to come across this project on Kitsune Noir yesterday. These illustrations, which adorn the program covers for the BAFTA Awards, feature an image or character from each Best Picture nominee. And they’re pretty amazing if you ask me. You can see the rest of the set right here.

These are great! I especially love the hand-made and retro feel of the poster for the very digital and high tech Avatar. Thanks for sharing!

I love these. Very restrained use of the “grit” but it totally works. The style reminds me of comic illustrator Alex Ross.
