David Smith is a tra­di­tional orna­men­tal glass artist who’s work is astound­ing. Since 1984 Dave has been cre­at­ing some of the most beau­ti­ful signs in the UK. Recently he was com­mis­sioned to design the cover art for the Born & Raised album from John Mayer. Seeing Dave cre­ate this cover by hand is truly mag­i­cal. You can pur­chase the font he designed on his site and see much more of his work. Here is a short doc­u­men­tary show­ing Dave’s process.
