Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

Yiu Studio recently designed this lovely pack­ag­ing pro­gram for Rivet & Sway, an online shop­ping bou­tique sell­ing women’s pre­scrip­tion glasses. Unfortunately I don’t need a pair, because I’d love to check these out all of the inter­ac­tive design details in per­son. Here’s a few more details about the shop and the team’s approach to the project:

Rivet & Sway is an online shop­ping bou­tique focused exclu­sively on women’s pre­scrip­tion glasses. With their own line of high-end frames and an expe­ri­ence that mir­rors a favorite bou­tique, Rivet & Sway makes buy­ing specs online, easy and fun with free home try-ons and free deliv­ery of your cho­sen Rx glasses.

To punc­tu­ate the bou­tique store expe­ri­ence, we designed the home try-on and the final Rx pack­ag­ing to be a multi-layered gift.  To echo the name Rivet & Sway, we used metal, wax string and craft paper and con­trasted it with flow­ing graph­ics and calligraphy.

The first pack­age, the home try-on box, con­tains 3 pairs of frames with instruc­tions and is designed so it’s easy for the cus­tomer to reseal the box and then drop off at their near­est mail box.
