Student Work: Nicole Yeo and Jonny Sikov: Sol – Yours Truly Identity

This project was cre­ated for Seattle-based hip hop artist Sol by Nicole Yeo and Jonny Sikov, two stu­dents from the University of Washington. The design­ers col­lab­o­rated on both the iden­tity and pack­ag­ing for Yours Truly, an album that was funded through Kickstarter.

    Pretty rockin iden­tity– I feel like it has a nice smooth lit­tle mix of for­mal and infor­mal, feels hip hop but not at all played out. Can’t stop star­ing at this, in fact.

    such great work! i love his music and I love the design even more. What type face did you use? ive been search­ing for 20 min­utes now and I have no luck find­ing it :(

    Nice Identity! I’m guess­ing that the type­faces used are dala floda and plan­tin for the body type?
