Colle + McVoy: Farm Credit Brand Refresh

Minneapolis-based Colle + McVoy was recently tasked with the challenge of breathing new life into Farm Credit service of Mid-America’s existing brand. As a result, they came up with the Strength in Numbers brand platform, which “conveys its strength as a leader in rural lending, tells the Farm Credit story and makes the farm and credit industry look as cool as any other industry.”

Lots of creative folks were involved in the execution of this project:

Eric R. Mortensen: New Site

Eric R. Mortenson, who among other things is the co-founder of The People’s Pennant (one of my new favorite sites), has just launched a brand new portfolio. I’m a big fan of his graphic, illustrative style, which I think is especially successful in his tiny icon and spot illustration designs. To see more, head on over here.

Creature: District Threads Rebrand

Take a look at the excellent rebrand that Creature recently completed for District Threads, a fashion basics line owned by SanMar:

“Creature rebrands District Threads, a fashion basics line owned by SanMar, one of the world’s largest “white label” clothing manufacturers. Ready to take on clothing giants such as American Apparel and Gap, SanMar re-designed its styles and brand to be much more relevant and fashion forward.

Creature set out to build a strong brand position that gives the brand a unique space in the fashion world, while not alienating the family friendly shops and bulk corporate purchasers they still rely on. They based the new brand on its heritage of providing clothes to artists and hobbiests who add their designs and touches to the clothes to make them their own.

Creature re-crafted the name and built a dynamic, high-energy language around the idea of an artist district: a place were all were welcome to join and create with clothes.

Welcome to the District. It’s Made for You to Make.”
