Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

I was lucky enough to attend the first ever 99% Conference back in 2009. It was awe­some — I left feel­ing ener­gized and inspired. But ever since then, for one rea­son or another, I haven’t been able to make it back — some­thing I plan to rec­tify next year. I’m def­i­nitely dis­ap­pointed I missed out of some of the incred­i­ble speak­ers, but I also have to say I wish I could have got­ten my hands on all of the incred­i­ble mate­ri­als designed for the event. This year, Behance’s own Matias Corea worked with designer Raewyn Brandon to develop the entire suite of mate­ri­als, from badges to brochures to wel­come bags, with the goal of “embody­ing the core 99% mis­sion sim­ply and beau­ti­fully: As Thomas Edison said, ‘Genius is 1% inspi­ra­tion, and 99% perspiration.’”
