During a three-week Creative Problem Solving Course in the Digital Media Management master program of Hyper Island Manchester, students developed Queue Hacker, a way to take the queue out of the post office. It was developed for Britain, but I could see it working really well here in the U.S. also. Such a great idea — learn more about how it works and the process behind its development right here.

Icebergs is “a web application that lets you collect, filter and connect your inspiration and projects like never before. Internet research, notes, files and emails in one single place. A new human approach to how creative professionals and students organize themselves. Icebergs it’s been designed to turn your working life into a completely new experience. And that’s only the beginning.” It’s currently in Private Beta — request an invite here.

Michael De Pippo’s latest project: Shit Golden Girls Say, for Gallery 1988‘s 8 year anniversary show, MEMES, a celebration of the Internet’s best inside jokes.

Love Mike Monteiro’s new Tattly.

What do you think of the new, Jay-Z-created Brooklyn Nets logo? I’m in the camp that thinks the intention might have been great, but the execution is a miss. I’m more impressed with the very different alternatives created by Jon Contino and Michael Weinstein.

Fonts.com has a brand new site courtesy of Happy Cog. Personally I wish the logo/brand had been updated as well, but otherwise it’s a vast improvement.

AIGANY’s 30th anniversary store: 30 iconic NYC designers. 30 original, limited edition posters. All celebrating 30 years of AIGA/NY.

Chartsnthings is “a (personal) blog of data sketches from the New York Times Graphics Department.”

I’m loving Dominique Falla’s latest typographic, cut-paper creation for the Conqueror Typographic Olympics.
