It’s short notice, but if you happen to be in the Chicago area, a great creative event is happening this Friday. Diaspora: The Art of Blackness, an event that celebrates art, design and music in observance of Black History Month, is jointly sponsored by Metropolitan Board of the Chicago Urban League, The Society of Typographic Arts and the AIGA, and curated by Lashun F. Tines, who is also responsible for all of the event design you see below. The event has now sold out twice over, but a few tickets have been made available especially for DWL readers—RSVP here. And for more details, you can check out the event on AIGA or Facebook.
