Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

This morn­ing I’m really excited to share this col­or­ful, pattern-heavy birth announce­ment cre­ated by Brooke Lunneborg for her son Mylo. The play­ful design — which com­pletely strays from the typ­i­cal overly sweet, pas­tel birth announce­ments that flood the mar­ket — was largely inspired by their new baby’s name, and incor­po­rates play­ful typog­ra­phy to cre­ate the look of a mod­ern Playbill. The fin­ished piece fea­tures four vibrant Pantones and an accor­dion style fold with diecut rounded cor­ners. What a great way to wel­come a lit­tle one into the world.
