Monday Quick Links: 06.27.11

First of all, I can’t do this week’s Quick Links with­out men­tion­ing that New York finally passed the Marriage Equality Bill—woohoo! It was also incred­i­bly serendip­i­tous that the announce­ment was made dur­ing Pride Week and when the Empire State Building was lit up like a rain­bow.

And on another seri­ous topic, lately there has been quite a bit of chat­ter in the design com­mu­nity over gen­der roles, some­thing that’s def­i­nitely been on my mind as of late. I read quite a few inter­est­ing opin­ions on the issue last week, so I thought I’d gather some of them all together in one place:

    on an ironic note, only the men’s ‘free­lance’ t-shirt sold out.
    But the women’s is still available!
