The Lost Type Co-op Launch

I’ve been catching snippets of The Lost Type Co-Op on Dribbble the last couple of months so I am thrilled to see the site finally launch today. Here’s the gist in the words of their founders:

The Lost Type Co-Op is a Pay-What-You-Want Type foundry, the first of it’s kind.
Founded by Riley Cran and Tyler Galpin, originally in a whirlwind 24 hour adventure to distribute a single typeface,

Lost Type has blossomed into a full fledged foundry, distributing fonts from designers all over the world, with it’s unique model.

Users have the opportunity to pay whatever they like for a font, you can even type in ‘$0’ for a free download.

Hi Jess, This is actually really different from Photolettering (although that's an awesome new site as well). TLTC lets you download individual fonts for whatever price you'd like to pay. Photolettering uses a subscription model where you can set and customize specific pieces of type and download them individually. You don't get the whole font with the download.
