Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

I’m really excited about Project Neon, Kirsten Hively’s attempt to doc­u­ment and map all of New York’s best neon signs. Each week she’ll visit a new loca­tion and post a photo that cap­tures the glow­ing sig­nage (more images can be seen in her Flickr set), plus an accom­pa­ny­ing story. Also in the works is the devel­op­ment of an iPhone app, which will act as a field guide to New York’s neon. And to sup­port this labor-intesive endeavor, she’s set up a Kickstarter project.
