Timothy Goodman for New York Magazine

If you’re a New York Magazine sub­scriber, you may have caught Timothy Goodman’s amaz­ing intro for their annual Where to Eat sec­tion this past week. It was orig­i­nally intended for the cover (see below), but unfor­tu­nately a much less inter­est­ing photo of steak won out in a focus group.
