Let Them Eat Cake is the col­lab­o­ra­tive art show of the hus­band and wife team of Jordan and Paul Ferney. The show fea­tures a col­lec­tion of small scale (5“x7”) col­or­ful and whim­si­cal oil paint­ings of cakes. Every sin­gle piece is unique, beau­ti­ful and inter­est­ing in its own way. One added detail that I love is that they enhanced each paint­ing by pair­ing it with a nar­ra­tive like, “After a slice of that choco­late cake she was in the mood to crash a party,” and “She was tak­ing the train to New York with three bags, her French Bulldog and a large yel­low cake.” All of the orig­i­nals are avail­able for sale right here. Fingers crossed that they’ll offer prints at some point.
