Boys’ Adventure

Coralie Bickford-Smith is per­haps most well-known for her Clothbound Classics Series one and two. However, I’m also really impressed with her art direc­tion for the Boys’ Adventure series, where she worked with let­ter­ing artist Stephen Raw and illus­tra­tors Neil Gower, Mark Thomas, Mick Brownfield, and Despotica.

    I have been pin­ing for my child­hood lately and these are mak­ing it worse. Don’t you just want to lay in the grass and read until some­one drops by to play? I know these are “boys adven­tures,” but that would have made me want to read them even more.
