Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

It might be a lit­tle late for Best of 2009 lists, but I recently came across this par­tic­u­lar one and couldn’t not men­tion it. In January, The Hype Machine put together a list of the top 50 artists of 2009 accord­ing to how fre­quently their songs were posted. They then invited 50 visual artists to cre­ate a piece of work inspired by each band, and cre­ated a series of posts fea­tur­ing the result­ing art­work. You can see the entire set right here, but a few of my favorites (for both the art­work and the music) are below.
