Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

You may have noticed a small addi­tion to the side­bar today regard­ing work sub­mis­sions. We get quite a few emails from our read­ers, which we love, so we think it’s about time we put a more solid sub­mis­sion process in place. There is now a spe­cific link in the side­bar which you should use to quickly and eas­ily shoot us an email. And in an effort to let you in on what we’re look­ing for, here’s a cou­ple of things to keep in mind:

• A url is best. Whether it’s a per­sonal port­fo­lio, or a Bēhance pro­file, we’d ide­ally like to be able to browse through all of your work online.
• If you don’t have an online port­fo­lio (or the sub­mit­ted project isn’t online yet), no prob­lem. Attach a few images to your email to give us an idea; just try keep the total file size to a min­i­mum. If we would like to see more we will def­i­nitely let you know. It also may be help­ful to know that our images are 510px wide. So if you can size yours to 510px or wider that is a plus.
• We love con­text, espe­cially if you are sub­mit­ting a spe­cific project. We’d love to know more about you, your thoughts and your process.
• Make sure your con­tent is rel­e­vant. As all of our long-time read­ers know, we pri­mar­ily focus on visual inspi­ra­tion, rang­ing from design to illus­tra­tion to pho­tog­ra­phy and more. If you think your con­tent fits some­where in that spec­trum please feel free to send it our way. While we like to stick to what we know, we are absolutely open to new ideas.

We will make every effort to reply to every­one indi­vid­u­ally, but some­times our sched­ules don’t (unfor­tu­nately) allow for it. If you have any ques­tions please let us know!
