I recently dis­cov­ered Bird, the lat­est in project from pho­tog­ra­pher Andrew Zuckerman. The hyper­re­al­is­tic images high­light the beauty and vibrancy of these crea­tures in a way you’d never be able to see in per­son. As Massimo Vignelli writes in the intro­duc­tion, “The birds, from the inti­macy of the very small to the majesty of the very large, acquire a tran­scen­den­tal dig­nity, each one becom­ing a god in its own universe.”
