Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

I finally got around to see­ing I Love You, Man over the week­end (love Paul Rudd). And I usu­ally try to avoid the com­mer­cials before the show, but this time one of them caught my eye.

BMW gave artist Robin Rhodes the com­plete free­dom to cre­ate works of art using one of their cars as a paint­brush. The exper­i­ment resulted in a gigan­tic can­vas filled with over­lap­ping tire tracks in a rain­bow of col­ors, and a video that doc­u­mented the entire process and was devel­oped into the com­mer­cial you can see below.
