Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

I’ve been fol­low­ing the work of San Francisco-based Lab Partners for a few months now. Their style is both mod­ern and retro at the same time, which I love. They recently set up an etsy shop where they’ve been sell­ing really fun gocco prints. (Speaking of gocco, I recently received a PG-11 for my birth­day, so hope­fully I’ll have some of my own projects to share with you soon.)

I am dying to get my hands on their most recent set of prints, a group of 4 designs printed in blue and black and meant to look like pages torn from the same book. Get yours here.

I also love their mutat­ing iden­tity. Unfortunately that lit­tle icon is really small, but hope­fully you can get the idea. At first glance they’re all really dif­fer­ent, but some­thing about their style and use of typog­ra­phy holds them together.
