Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

If you haven’t heard of Woot, it’s a site that fol­lows the “deal-a-day” for­mat, where every day they put one prod­uct up for sale until it sells out. The suc­cess of this ini­tal site led to the cre­ation of wine.woot, sellout.woot and shirt.woot. Which brings me to the pro­mo­tion part. One of my web devel­op­ers and fel­low design­ers (and also boyfriend) won first place in this week’s shirt design con­test, “Create a Symbol for an Imaginary Country”. As a result his shirt is cur­rently up for sale — $10 today and $15 there­after. So if you’re in the mar­ket for an ultra-nerdy shirt, head on over and pick one up!
