Design Work Life: Cataloging Inspiration Daily

In Monday’s sec­ond ses­sion I attended “Financial Planning for Solo Designers” given by Shel Perkins, the author of Talent is Not Enough: Business Secrets for Designers. While a lot of the infor­ma­tion didn’t really apply to me, some of it was really help­ful. One thing he men­tioned that got me excited is a new web­site AIGA is devel­op­ing. Scheduled to launch in the next cou­ple of months, the AIGA Center for Practice Management, will pro­vide all kinds of prac­ti­cal busi­ness resources to design­ers. aiga​.org already offers quite a few busi­ness resources, but this new site promises to be more in-depth. I’ll def­i­nitely post updates if I get more solid details on the launch.
